RONDO

Velma (Christophe Jaquet, Stéphane Vecchione and Christian Garcia-Gaucher) made its debut as a musical collective in 1997. Since this date, Velma has developed its activities in several other fields, especially theater, dance and visual arts. Velma’s first investigated musical issues and has always attempted to elaborate a practical dialectic between electronic media and more traditional forms of artistic expression.

Rondo builds on the creation of a compelling visual and musical universe which enables every spectator to enter an abstract world and then leave it with his/her own self-generated sensations. Every member of the audience will then be able to compare his/her impressions with the other spectators. The show acts in fact as a kind of Rorschach test, revealing to every individual his/her history, architecture of feelings, and present moods.

Velma is in residency in the l’Arsenic/Lausanne with Théâtre en Flammes (dir. Denis Maillefer) and ParanoFondation (chor. Gilles Jobin).
